Configure staff SMS alerts
Enable Business-plan operator alerts for selected booking and payment events.
Staff alerts, not customer campaigns
SMS Notifications sends operational alerts to staff recipients. It is not a customer messaging or marketing tool. The current workflow supports one enabled recipient, an E.164 phone number, consent, and selected event preferences.
- Check platform availability
The page shows whether ToteRentalSuite has launched and enabled the SMS transport. Plan access alone is not enough.
- Add the staff recipient
Use international E.164 format and record the required consent.
- Choose events
Available event choices include New Booking, Payment Received, and Booking Cancelled.
- Monitor usage and logs
The page shows the allowance, usage, delivery state, and safe error information.
Allowance
The default displayed allowance is 500 messages for the configured period. Segments and provider behavior can affect usage; rely on the page’s current counter rather than an old screenshot.
